The Engineering Test Lead/ Manager is part of the Hardware Engineering team and will have overall responsibility for establishing formal test processes to help the team utilize automated test frameworks and automated test equipment to script, test and drive improvement in the quality of our products. The Test Manager also provide leadership in the hardware engineering test discipline and mentor engineers in developing high quality medical device product.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Build and develop strong firmware and hardware test organization.
    • Provide resource planning for development programs and ensure that development programs are served with integration test efforts.
    • Provide leadership to engineers and contract personnel at multiple sites.
    • Participate in FMEA, risk analysis and verification/validation of product design.
    • Establish infrastructure to drive efficiency and scalability.
    • Perform characterization and design verification activities to encore the compliance to standards and to Bigfoot requirements.
    • Specify, design, develop and deploy test apparatus and test code

    Experience Requirements

    • MS with a minimum 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware test; or BS with a minimum 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware test.
    • Experience in leading/managing embedded firmware test or product development teams.
    • Experience in software testing, verification and validation.
    • Experience with developing and executing test programs.
    • Experience with creating test automation frameworks.
    • Experience with creating automated test equipment.
    • Experience with creating and maintaining quality-controlled engineering documentation.
    • Experience with Medical Device product life cycle development.

    Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Strong knowledge of US FDA Quality System Requirements, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 60601 and IEC62304.
    • Experience with requirements management system and defect management applications.
    • Strong technical/leadership skills, decisive, determined, strategic and able to lead, motivate, and inspire others.
    • A strong team player, results-oriented, excellent communicator, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Engineering or Science.
    • Master’s Degree (MS) in Engineering discipline, preferred.
