The Electrical Engineering is part of the Embedded Engineering Team and is responsible for designing,
developing and testing electronic components, development platform, equipment, and system for class 3
medical devices.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design, develop and maintain electronic circuits and systems for medical devices integrated with mechanical and firmware components.
    • Research, develop, design and test electrical components, systems and networks.
    • Translate requirements into electrical specification and rudimentary designs.
    • Generate schematic, bills of materials (BOM), and PCB design documents for manufacturing.
    • Generate detailed design and quality-controlled documentation.
    • Investigate root causes of hardware defects and resolve the defects.
    • Support hardware verification to ensure the product development conforms to design specification.

    Experience Requirements

    • MS with a minimum 3+ years of experience in electronic system design; or BS with a minimum 5+ years of experience in electronic system design.
    • Experience in designing PCBAs using Altium PCBA design tools.
    • Experience with bringing up PCBAs and development platforms.
    • Experience with digital and analog circuit design and debugging.
    • Experience with ARM Cortex MCU.
    • Experience with Low Power embedded system design.
    • Experience with 2.4GHz and Sub-1GHz RF design.
    • Working knowledge of common digital communications (I2C, SPI, IART) and wireless communications (BLE, NFC, WiFi).
    • Demonstrate ability to test, analyze, and solve technical problems independently.

    Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Strong knowledge of US FDA Quality System Requirements, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 60601.
    • Strong technical/leadership skills, decisive, determined, strategic and able to lead, motivate, and inspire others.
    • Demonstrated track record of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated track record of PCB and PCBA manufacturing methodologies and processes.
    • Experience with programming in C language and Python preferred.
    • A strong team player, results-oriented, excellent communicator, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
    • Master’s Degree (MS) in Engineering discipline, preferred.
